Faith 2 (Pamphlet)
Abraham Declares Provision on Mount Moriah
Scripture: Genesis 22:7-14
What Happened: Abraham was instructed by God to sacrifice his son, Isaac. As they climbed Mount Moriah, Isaac asked, "Where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham declared, "God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering."
Outcome: When Abraham obeyed and prepared to sacrifice Isaac, God intervened and provided a ram caught in the thicket.
Lesson: Abraham's declaration of faith in God's provision was followed by action, and God honored his faith.
2. Elijah and the Widow at Zarephath
Scripture: 1Kings 17:8-16
What Happened: During a famine, Elijah was sent to a widow in Zarephath. Despite her lack of resources, Elijah instructed her to make him a small cake first, declaring, "The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth."
Outcome: The widow obeyed the word spoken by Elijah, and her flour and oil were supernaturally replenished until the famine ended.
Lesson: Speaking provision requires faith, and obedience unlocks the manifestation of God's promise.
3. Elisha Declares Abundance in a Famine
Scripture: 2 Kings 7:1-20
What Happened: In the midst of a severe famine, Elisha declared, "Thus says the Lord, Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel." This was an impossible statement in natural terms.
Outcome: God caused the Syrian army to flee, leaving behind their supplies, fulfilling Elisha's word. The abundance prophesied became a reality within 24 hours.
Lesson: Speaking provision with faith in God's word can bring about miraculous outcomes.
4. Jesus and the Feeding of the 5,000
Scripture: John 6:5-11
What Happened: Faced with feeding a large crowd, Jesus asked Philip, "Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?" After a boy brought five loaves and two fish, Jesus gave thanks and blessed the food, declaring abundance.
Outcome: The food multiplied, feeding over 5,000 people with 12 baskets left over.
Lesson: Speaking gratitude and blessing over what seems insufficient can lead to supernatural provision.
5. Peter and the Temple Tax
Scripture: Matthew 17:24-27
What Happened: When questioned about paying the temple tax, Jesus instructed Peter, "Go to the sea, cast a hook, and take the first fish that comes up. When you open its mouth, you will find a coin. Take that and give it to them for you and Me."
Outcome: Peter obeyed, and the exact amount needed for the tax was provided.
Lesson: Jesus demonstrated that faith and obedience unlock divine provision, even in unusual ways.
6. The Disciples and the Donkey for Jesus
Scripture: Mark 11:1-6
What Happened: Jesus instructed His disciples to fetch a donkey and colt, declaring, "If anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, The Lord has need of it,' and immediately he will send it here."
Outcome: The disciples found the animals as Jesus said, and their declaration was honored.
Lesson: Faith-filled declarations aligned with God's purpose always lead to provision.
7. The Upper Room for the Last Supper
Scripture: Mark 14:13-15
What Happened: Jesus gave His disciples instructions to find a room for the Passover meal, saying, "Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him ... and say to the owner, 'The Teacher asks: Where is My guest room?'"
Outcome: The owner provided a fully furnished room, just as Jesus declared.
Lesson: Speaking provision in alignment with divine purpose ensures needs are met
8. Ruth Finds Favor in Boaz's Field
Scripture: Ruth 2:8-16
What Happened: Ruth spoke faith when she said to Naomi, "Let me go to the field and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor." She then encountered Boaz, who provided her with extraordinary favor and provision.
Outcome: Ruth's faithful declaration positioned her to receive more than she expected, leading to divine provision and restoration.
Lesson: Faith-filled words and action open doors for supernatural provision.
Conclusion
These examples demonstrate that financial provision in the Bible often comes through:
1. Speaking in Faith: Declaring God's promises over a situation.
2. Obeying Divine Instructions: Acting on what God says, even when it seems illogical.
3. Trusting God's Timing: Remaining patient and believing that God's word will come to pass.
Just as these biblical figures experienced supernatural provision by speaking and acting in faith, we too can activate the same principles in our lives.
What we say in faith, God can establish! Job 22:28 reminds us: "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you and the light will shine upon your ways."
