Examples of information would be:
Radio signals
Wifi

Waves can be longitudinal and transverse

An example of a longitudinal wave would be sound waves. Longitudinal waves cause vibrations and are parallel.

An example of a transverse wave would be water waves. transverse waves also cause vibrations but are perpendicular.
