What I know/heard:

The hypostatic union is the fancy term for 3 divine “people” Jesus Christ is. The father, son, and holy spirit.

What I learned:

The hypostatic union is Christ’s two natures. He is fully human and is fully divine.

• Divine: of or like God.

Jesus is still one person but he does have two natures. The two natures are connected.

“his two natures are without confusion, without change, without division, and without separation. Jesus is one.”

Jesus was like us in all ways but sin. He could feel the feeling. He could smell, taste and touch. But, he never did sin. This makes him different from us because everyone sins at least once.

• When scripture is read in church, he is the one truly speaking to us about God.
