  • “Eretz” [Air its] Israel = The land of Israel

    • This is an ideological place

    • This is not defined, the frontier of the U.S. is defined (thinking of the 49 main states), but Eretz Israel is currently up for debate.

    • Max Version (“Greater Israel”) could extend Nile to Euphrates

  • “Israel Proper” = The legal state of Israel

    • Not everyone accepts this, most of the world does though

    • This is just the legal borders of Israel between 46 and 47

    • This means little Israel

  • Golan Heights

    • Legally apart of Syria but controlled by Israel. Israel is expanding it into Mt. Harman (a mountain range above the Golan Heights that is currently owned by Syria). Israel advanced after the Syrian government fell in September.
