Maintenance of the Hot Towel Cabinets
PREPARATION OF THE HOT TOWEL CABINETS
In general these are the three steps you should do to prepare the hot towels:
Put on gloves, fold a towel in half, and roll the towel up
Add warm water, squeeze excess water from the towel, insert the towel in the hot towel cabinet, and turn on the cabinets to heat the towel
Load the cabinet until you have the desired number of towels for your treatment or plan ahead for your full client schedule
MAINTENANCE OF THE HOT TOWEL CABINETS
When you are ready to use the hot towels:
• Put on a new pair of gloves and remove the towel
• Test the temperature of the towel on the inside of the worst over the gloved hand. If the towel is too warm, open it slightly and allow the towel to slightly cool and then retest the temperature.
• Open the towel and apply it to the face, never cover the nose and mouth areas. You may apply gentle pressure to the towel to provide further relaxation while the towel is on the clients face
• To remove the towel gently begin at the top and work your down, lifting the towel off the face.
AT THE END OF THE DAY
• Clean the inside and outside of the cabinets with an EPA-registered disinfectant
• Empty, clean and disinfect the water catchment tray and underneath the cabinet
• Leave the door open at night to allow the cabinet and rubber seals to dry throughly
