Cytoplasm vs Protoplasm

The difference between Protoplasm and Cytoplasm is:

• Protoplasm = has EVERYTHING inside of a cell including a nucleus.

• Cytoplasm = Is in the middle of the cell so is also inside the protoplasm. However had everything EXCEPT the nucleus (does not have a nucleus)

Not in the middle of the cell actually but in the middle area with the non-existence of the nucleus. Non-existence because there is bio nucleus and when you removed the nucleus all that’s left is the fluid around.

The reason Cytoplasms is Cytoplasm is because actually, the nucleus is so so so so important (of course) and runs the show so important to the fact that the scientists wanted a “separate word” for all the non-nucleus stuff and that’s were Cytoplasm came in.
