what is EMB? Eosin Methylene Blue Agar, a selective medium that detects fecal coliform bacteria
What is MacConkey agar? Selective differential for enterobacteria. Has a little lactose in it. The pH indicator will turn from orange to pink, indicating lactose fermentation.
