Ronald Reagan won against democrat Jimmy carter promised conservative policie and reduce gov involvment in economy
Reaganomics: the economic policies of the Ronald Reagan administration, primarily emphasized reducing government spending, lowering taxes, and deregulation of businesses, along with controlling the money supply to reduce inflation.
Iran-Contra, Strategic Defense Initiative, Cold War
Reagan criticized for his affair of the Iran Contra where he was illegally selling arms to Iran and profits were used to fund anti communists rebels .
Reagan also focused on national defense, helped bring end to cold war by easing communications
George H.W. Bush- No New Taxes, Desert Storm, End of Cold War
Reagans VP won the election (George H W Bush) due to Reagans popularity and said he would implement no new tax
Bushs presidency included Desert Storm which was to liberate quwait from iraq to protect oil reserves within region. Was successful , low causulties
Dis illusion of soviet union
However, laws he implemented would lead to economic recession where he had to go back on his promise of no new taxes
Bill Clinton- Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, NAFTA, Budget Reform,

Clinton ran as a democrat
Dont Ask Dont tell bill prohibited discrimination against sexual orientation in military but also banned those who were conisdering themselves gay and lesbian to join.
NAFTA: Agreement between US and Mexico and Canada reduced trade barrier and promote economic co op.
Budget Reform: Able to reduce federal deficit by increasing taxes on high income individuals.
Impeachment- House brought charges of obstruction of justice with his afair
George W. Bush- Bush v. Gore, Recession, No Child Left Behind
George W Bush who was son of George H W bush won election, one of the most cloest elections
Election decided in Bush V Gore which ruled to stop recount in florida and give it to Bush giving him the election.
2008 economic crisis was a result of poor lending practices which led to housing crisis
No Child Left Behind: Standards for academic achievement and held schools accountable for student performance
The Rise of Terrorism- 9/11, PATRIOT Act, Homeland Security, Axis
Homeland Security : department created to help prevent future disasters like 9/11

American forces went into Iraq and fought against terorism and in afghanistan, removing mass weapons on terrorism.
