Assault Rifle Long Range Course and Proficiency Parameters
Introduction and Authorization
- The Assault Range course of the Indian Army (IA) is promulgated via the Instruction of DGMT.
- Note: The authorization for the type of weapon in IA & PARA / PARA (SF) is in variance.
- SFTS (Special Forces Training School) has formulated specific range practices:
- (a) Assault Rifle long range course.
- (b) Assault Rifle CQC course.
- (c) Skill Proficiency parameters for advanced sniper skill.
- These courses were forwarded to respective units via DGMO/ MO 8B letter No A/86521/1/MO 8B dated , incorporating relevant comments.
Assault Rifle Long Range Course Details (Day Fire)
- 300 Meters firing
- Target: Fig 11.
- Position: Lying Unsupported.
- Ammunition: .
