UCAT: VR Tips and strategies
Tips:
A way that works for me is to pick out key words - this is really important, instead of reading the whole passage
Sometimes the key words lie in the question
Sometimes the key words lie in the answer options


This question is something I struggle on the most, remember when there is least likely - the author disagrees.

Predecessor = ansestors

For this question, be careful of the wording - it says 133 died from physical or mental // question asks us 103 died from mental health. We do not know exactly how many people died from mental health. CT


VR mistakes Log: 1 week plan

For this question feel into a trap: A => ‘borrow‘, while C => ‘required…to hand over‘. So, C is the correct answer, as last para ‘He decreed that all travellers arriving in Alexandria were to relinquish any documents of literacy or scientific value‘, so it was an act of compulsion.
Lesson learnt from this is that read the answer statements carefully, and come to a conclusion.


For this question, I chose D, because ‘The largest medival Europenan library with as many…‘. However, this does not mean it is the largest library. As this sentence only mentions medival European library.
Lesson learnt that read the question stem and the passage very carefully.
