Notes on Dassault's Vision and VM Operation

Vision of Dassault

The to be processes workshop aims to reach decision points on key elements regarding the to be processes. The presentation is structured to address these decision points one by one, covering aspects like operation structure and step structure.

The 3DS vision emphasizes end to end integration. DEMEA (digital benefit occurring) is utilized with process quality rules and working solution authoring rules, forming the VPR (Virtual Product Representation). The building of VPR is central to Dassault System's vision.

Once the VPR is complete, content becomes accessible for true appraisal and for the data player.

The VM Operation

The VM (Virtual Manufacturing) operation allows showcasing and providing access via Piezo to augmented reality procedures. It facilitates retrieving content created with DDM (Digital Data Management) into the diode player.

In this vision, the diode editor is no longer used. Data mapping is essential for understanding the scenes. A mapping between our way of intent and operational steps with the VM operation is needed.

Currently, not everything in the 3DS vision is available. The process of retrieving process information from VM is underway, but is not yet complete.
