Wife of Isaac; favored her younger son; tricked her husband into giving Jacob the blessing that belonged to Esau

Younger son of Isaac; twin brother of Esau; tricked his brother out of his birthright and his blessing; married Rachel and Leah; father of Joseph

Jacob's new name; receives it twice:
1st- after fighting with angel and almost winning
2nd- after building an altar when revisiting Bethel

Esau

The oldest son of Isaac; twin brother of Jacob; traded his birthright for a bowl of stew

Abimelech

king, Abraham tells him Sarah is his sister, makes covenant with Abraham that they would both be honest, makes covenant with Isaac that neither would do harm to the other

Abraham's servant

Abraham tells him to go to Abraham's family to get Isaac a wife, comes back with Rebekah

Rebekah

Isaac's wife, mother of Esau and Jacob

Laban

Rebekah's brother, father of Leah and Rachel, tricks Jacob into working 14 years to marry Rachel, tries to trick Jacob out of wages

Rebekah and Laban's father, gives Rebekah permission to marry Isaac

Eldest daughter of Laban, Jacob is tricked into marrying her, less favored wife

Son of Judah, supposed of have a son with Tamar (levirate marriage), killed by God for preventing Tamar from becoming pregnant

Youngest son of Judah, Judah will not give him to Tamar because he is too young and Judah doesn't want him to be killed

Jacob's favored son, sold by his brothers into slavery in Egypt, rises up to be Pharaoh's second-in-command, father of Ephraim and Manasseh

Benjamin

Youngest and favored son of Jacob, Joseph makes him come to Egypt with his brothers and puts his cup into his sack

Potiphar

Official/chief steward of Pharaoh, employs Joseph as a household slave and puts him in charge of household

Potiphar's wife

Tries to get Joseph to lie with her twice, tells Potiphar he tried to rape her when he won't, gets Joseph thrown in jail

Chief jailer

Puts Joseph in charge of the jail

Chief cupbearer

Put in jail with Joseph, has dream that Joseph interprets, tells Pharaoh about Joseph

Put in jail with Joseph, has dream that Joseph interprets, executed

Her sons married Moab women (Ruth and Orpah); decided to return to Israel after death of husband and sons

Orpah

Daughter-in-law of Naomi; leaves Naomi and Ruth to go to her family after her husband dies

Wealthy relative of Naomi and Elimelech; marries Ruth because of levirate marriage

Naomi's deceased husband; relative of Boaz

Works for Boaz and supervises harvest; tells Boaz who Ruth is

Refused to give food to David + his men; saved from being killed by David by Abigail
