CONFORMITY: results for aschs study
I found that 75% of people conform On at least one occasion demonstrating that most people are willing to say something that they know is wrong due to social pressure. 5% conformed on every trial, most conformist. The average rate of conformity was found to be 32% despite the fact that participants could see the Correct answer very clearly when questioned participant said they felt self-conscious and anxious about their response and some reported feelings of stress they knew inside that they were giving incorrect answers
CONFORMITY: results from mori and arai
For female participants results were similar to those of ashes with conformity to the majority shown on 4.14 out of 12 critical trials versus 3.84 In the original however it was found that the male participants did not conform to the majority view. Another difference from ashes findings was that it was made very little difference whether the majority were Anonymous or not in other words having an ally did not make the ridiculous difference shown in ashes and led to a small reduction in conformity rate
SLEEP AND DREAMS: results from dement and kleitman
They found that participants were much more likely to say they had been dreaming when woken up during REM sleep 80% of the time then during non-RAM sleep 9% of the time participants also said that their dream was shorter if they had been woken up five minutes into sleep, whereas if they were woken 15 minutes and said it was longer they also found that eye movements during REM sleep did connect to the dreams for example one participant said he had dreamt about people throwing tomatoes at each other and His eyes had been moving left to right rapidly

Despite never having encountered acetopenone In their lives, the offspring showed increased sensitivity when introduced to its smell shuttering more in its presence compared with the Descendants of mice that had gone through no conditioning a third generation of mice the grandchildren also inherited this reaction the inheritance takes place even if the mice are convicted by in vitro fertilisation (IVF) This indicates that somehow information about the experience connected with the scent is being transmitted via the sperm or eggs
PHOBIAS: results from little Albert
When presented with a rat, Albert initially showed no fear when presented with the loud noise and the rat Albert showed fear when presented with just the rat after it had been paired with the loud noise. Albert showed fear. Albert reacted with crying and avoidance when the rat was presented without loud noise, Albert only had to see the rat and immediately showed every sign of fear he would cry whether or not the hammer was hit against the steel bar and he would attempt to crawl away to avoid the Rat.

NVC: results from yuki et al
Japanese participants gave higher ratings to facial expressions with happy eyes than Americans did. American participants gave their highest ratings when the males were happy even when the eyes were sad. This was not true of Japanese participants. Japanese participants gave their lowest ratings when the eyes were sad and the mouth neutral whereas American participants gave their lowest rating when the mouths were sad, even though the eyes were neutral or even happy
