Employed young men to work in rural areas; conservation work like planting trees, fighting fires, and improving national parks
Farm Credit Administration (FCA)
Low interest mortgages for farmers.
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
Insure private bank deposits; created by the Glass-Steagall Banking Act
Federal Emergency Relief Act (FERA)
Direct monetary relief to poor unemployed Americans.

Government mortgages that allowed people to keep their homes

Resettles poor tenant farmers
Securities Act of 1933
Created SEC regulated stock transactions by requiring greater disclosure
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)
Regional development program; brought electrification to the valley through building dams and other projects
Fair Labor Standards Act
Established minimum wage and 40-hour work week, outlawed child labor
Farm Security Administration
Provides poor farmers with education and economic support programs
Federal Crop Insurance Corporation
Insures crops and livestock against loss of revenue
National Labor Relations Act
Recognized right of workers to unionize and collectively bargain
National Youth Administration
Part-time employment for college and high school students
Rural Electrification Administration
Provides public utilities to rural areas

Aid to retirees, unemployed, disabled
