Definition of Angle Bisector
If ray YW bisects angle XYZ, then angle XYW is congruent to angle ZYW
Definition of Adjacent Angles
If 2 angles in same plane share a common vertex and a common side but have no common interior points, the angles are adjacent
Definition of Linear Pair
If a pair of angles is adjacent whose noncommon sides are opposite rays, the angles form a linear pair
Definition of Complementary Angles
If 2 angle measures have a sum of 90 degrees, then the angles are complementary
Definition of Supplementary Angles
If 2 angle measures have a sum of 180 degrees, then the angles are supplementary
Definition of Vertical Angles
If 2 nonadjacent angles are formed by 2 intersecting lines, then the angles are vertical angles
Linear Pair Theorem
If angle 1 and angle 2 form a linear pair, then angle 1 and angle 2 are supplementary
Vertical Angles Theorem
If angle A and angle B are vertical angles, then angle A is congruent to angle B
Congruent Supplements Theorem
If angle 1 and angle 2 and are supplementary & angle 2 and angle 3 are supplementary, then angle 1 is congruent with angle 3
Right Angle Congruence Theorem
If angle A and angle B are right angles, then angle A is congruent to angle B
Common Segments Theorem
If a segment is combined with 2 congruent segments, then the resulting segments are congruent
