summarize milgram’s obedience study (1963)

there is an experimenter, a teacher, and a student (confederate). as the teacher asks the student questions, the experimenter shocks the student with varied volts of electricity when the student gets an answer wrong. as the volts get up to 135-180 volts, the student refuses to participate, the begging increasing as the volts increase. when the volts reach 330-450, the student goes silent. throughout this process, the teacher begins to hound the experimenter to cease the experiment, to which the experimenter refuses
