Transversal

A line that intersects another line or a group of lines (cuts through)

Alternate Angles

2 Angles that are on opposite sides of the transversal (alternating)

Same Side Angles

2 angles that are on the same side of the transversal

Exterior Angles (outside)

2 angles that are outside the parallel lines

Interior Angles (inside)

2 Angles that are inside of the parallel lines

Linear Pair

2 angles that are adjacent (next to) and supplementary (=180°)

Congruent

Angles that are the same as eachother

2 angles in the same location on both parallel lines
