Ale
Usually a little fruitier, maltier, fuller, and more hop-forward than a lager, with moderate sweetness and low-to-medium bitterness.
Pale Ale
A balanced ale with noticeable hop flavor and a little citrus or floral taste. Medium body, moderately bitter (less than an IPA), not very sweet
Amber Ale
A malt-focused ale with caramel, toasted bread, and biscuit flavors. Medium body, low to medium bitterness, mildly sweet.
Red Ale
Similar to amber ale but with more caramel and a slight toasted, nutty flavor. Medium body, low bitterness, mildly sweet.
Ipa
A hoppy beer. More bitter than most beers, often with citrus, pine, grapefruit, or tropical flavors. Medium Body.
Imperial IPA
A more intense IPA. Stronger alcohol, bigger hop flavor, more bitterness and usually a heavier body
NEIPA
A hazy, juicy IPA that tastes like tropical fruit juice. Low bitterness for an IPA, soft body, and slightly sweet.
Imperial NEIPA
A stronger, heavier NEIPA. Very Juicy, very fruity, higher alcohol, fuller body, and more sweetness.
West Coast IPA
A crisp, dry IPA with pine, grapefruit, and citrus flavors. More bitter and less sweet than an NEIPA.
Porter
A dark beer with chocolate, coffee, toast, and roasted malt flavors. Medium body and usually not very bitter.
Milk Porter
A porter with added milk sugar (lactose) sweeter, creamier, and smoother than a regular porter.
Stout
A darker, roastier version of a porter. Strong coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted flavors with a fuller body.
Oatmeal Stout
A stout made with oats for extra smoothness. Creamy body, moderate sweetness, and less harsh roast flavor.
Double Mash Imperial Stout
A huge, rich stout with very high alcohol. Thick body with flavors like chocolate syrup, espresso, caramel, and dark fruit.
Saison
A light, refreshing farmhouse ale. Dry, slightly fruity, a little spicy, and highly carbonated
Belgian Singel
a light belgian ale with a bread-like malt flavor, mild fruitiness, and a dry finish. Easy drinking for a belgian beer.
Belgian Quadrupel
A very strong belgian ale with flavors of raisins, figs, caramel, brown sugar, and dark fruit. Full bodied and sweet.
Trappist Dark Ale
A rich Belgian monastery-style beer with dark fruit, caramel, spice, and bread flavors. Medium to full body.
Scotch Ale (wee Heavy)
A strong, malty beer with caramel, toffee, and brown sugar flavors. Very little hop bitterness and a heavy body.
Fruited Sour
A tart, tangy beer that tastes like fruit juice with a sour kick. Usually low bitterness and very fruity.
Lager
The classic clean, crisp, beer style. Light body, low fruitiness, moderate malt flavor, and low bitterness.
Helles Lager
smooth German lager thats slightly sweeter and maltier than a standard lager. Soft bread-like flavor and low bitterness.
Pilsner
A crisp lager with more hop flavor and bitterness than most lagers. Refreshing, dry, and easy drinking.
Czech Pilsner
A richer, maltier pilsner with a softer bitterness. Tastes more bready and balanced than other pilsners.
Mexican Lager
A very light, crisp lager with low bitterness and a clean finish. Often tastes lighter and smoother than regular lagers.
Bock
A strong, malty lager with flavors of bread crust, toast, and caramel. Full bodied and low in bitterness.
Dopplebock
A bigger, richer version of a bock. More caramel, dark bread, and sweetness with a heavier body.
German Dopplebock
The traditional version of dopplebock. Rich malt flavor,dark bread, caramel, and dried fruit notes with very little hop flavor.
Bourban Barell Dopplebock
A dopplebock aged in bourbon barrels. Adds vanilla, oak, bourbon, and caramel flavors to the rich malt base.
Black Lager
A dark lager with light chocolate and roasted flavors but still crisp and smooth like a lager
Oktoberfest(marzen)
A smooth, malty lager with toasted bread, biscuit, and light caramel flavors. Medium body and low bittnerness
