Test validity
Test should measure what it claims to measure
speed - max intensity and appropriate distance
anaerobic capacity - insufficient recovery to use the anaerobic system
muscular strength - max force and resistance, few reps
agility - changes of direction at max intensity
aerobic power - sufficient duration to test capacity
Test reliability
Tests should be able to be replicated with consistency and accurate conduct and measurements
same warm up, recovery, sequence, surface, time of day, similar enviro conditions
Test accuracy
Results recorded are a true reflection of what is being tested.
Ways to increase reliability:
specialised technology, precision of measurement/observation, increased understanding of instructions, calibration of equipment
Reasons to ensure test accuracy, reliability and validity
Feedback of tests must be interpretable and comparable, allowing participants to receive feedback on:

how they compare with other results and participants in group
