Electron

Negatively charged particles that orbit outside an atom

Circuit

A loop that electricity can travel around

Static electricity

Electrons move and then get stuck, leaving one negative particle and one positive particle

Break

A gap in the circuit that stops the electricity

Battery

A group of cells

Current electricity

Electrons moving around the circuit to create electricity

Series circuit

Where all the components are connected one after the other

Opposite charges

Parallel circuit

Where different components are connected on seperate loops of wire (Wire splits)

Insulator

Electrons can't move at all, electricity can't go through

Voltage

How much energy each electron has, measured in Volts

Conductor

Electrons move easily, electricity goes through

Resistance

How hard it is for the electrons to move, measured in Ohms

Resistor

Electrons move through with difficulty, electricity slows down

Power

Amount of energy something uses every second, measured in watts
