Give nine safety precautions you must take when handling and dissecting animal organ systems.

• Wear disposable plastic apron.

• Wear disposable gloves.

• Cover any pre-existing cuts with waterproof dressings.

• Use a sharp scalpel.

• Cut away from you.

• Dispose of organs in a separate bin.

• Disinfect all surfaces at the end of the practical.

• Wash hands with soap and warm water.

• Wear eye protection (goggles).

Give five things you must do when drawing diagrams.

• Use a sharp pencil.

• Do not shade/use colour.

• Draw unbroken lines.

• Label structures (include brief annotations if necessary).

• Include a scale for magnification.

Give three hazards you may come across in this practical.
